Root Canal Treatment
Root Canal is a procedure done to treat and save an infected, damaged and badly decayed tooth. It is treating the tooth from the inside which involves the removal of the nerves and pulp and cleaning and sealing the infected area. Constant pain , swelling and tenderness of the gums, sensitivity to heat or cold and discoloration of the tooth are signs that one may need a root canal treatment.
A cavity in the tooth leaves an opening where bacteria can enter and multiply. Left untreated, this can cause infection and form abscess filled with pus up at the root of the tooth. This can result to severe pain and swelling that could spread to other areas if the face. Serious infection bring about bone loss around and the tip of the tooth’s roots.
